Tot slot Technics had al wel een nieuwe draaitafel op de beurs staan. De Technics SL-1210M5G. Deze is in te stellen op -/+ 8% pitch of -/+ 16% pitch en heeft een reset knop. Blauwe leds i.p.v. rode leds. Geen master tempo. Het grappige is dat concurrenten de Technics zowat kwa constructie helemaal hebben nagebouwd en kwa functies uitgebreid. Intern ziet het er bij veel merken hetzelfde uit als de Technics SL1200MK2. Extern voelen de knoppen over het algemeen minder degelijk aan. Ik vraag mij dus ook af of het patent dat Technics heeft op zijn fameuze draaitafel de mk2 is verlopen? Meeste draaitafels bieden echter wel master tempo en reverse. De Numark is erg goed. Kwam zeer goed uit de bus in een test die onlangs in interface stond.

Dat technics bezig is met het ontwikkelen van een dj cd-speler heb ik uit zeer betrouwbare bron.
Dat Pioneer met een nieuwe cd-speler in September komt kan ik alleen maar opmaken uit het feit dat de Pioneer CDj-1000 2 jaar geleden gereleased is en dat Denon nu een sterke concurrent in de markt heeft gezet die Pioneer CDj-1000 kwa functies in ieder geval overtreft. CDJ-800 is slechts een uitgekleede versie van de Pioneer CDJ-1000.
Dus verwacht om die reden een nieuwe Pioneer.

By the way probeer ook is D-vinyl 2020. Erg cool. Weet alleen niet of het ook met wave werkt?

Today I went to the Frankfurt Messe Prolight und Sound and tried the Denon DN-S5000.
I tried the following which wasn't possible with the Denon DN-S5000 in
comparison to the Pioneer Cdj-1000:
I programmed cue points and made a loop--> after that I shortened the end
point of the loop. The first thing that I noticed was that it isn't possible
to make an exact same short sound as the Pioneer (Pioneer is shorter) -->
after that I turned the loop off and quickly (within a second) made a
backspin. Now I noticed that the sound didn't continue fluently. It took a
second untill the player read the audio again. -->After that I went to the
cue point.

I had high hopes, but again Denon didn't bring me the right result that I
expected. I hope that the engineers can fix this bugs, maybe then it will be
my player. Tip: Talk to real DJ's who use it.

Further nice tools but to complex to use them while you are mixing.

I hope that there will be done something on this player. It has the
potential to become a big player but then they have to fix these bugs.

By the way: The man who was showing/ demonstrating the Denon DN-S5000, in a
closed room, sucks. He can't mix and knows nothing really well.

So now I have to wait for a new Pioneer Flagship which has 100% pitch and the ability to read mp-3. Probably in september.

De prijs van rond de 1000 euro lijkt hoog. Maar vergis je niet dat deze cd-speler te updaten is. Zo is er nu een update te downloaden die je de mogelijkheid geeft om mp-3 af te spelen. Dat zie ik Pioneer niet doen op dit moment. Overigens zal Pioneer zo rond september hoogstwaarschijnlijk met een nieuwe speler op de markt komen. Ook is Technics bezig met het ontwikkelen van een - naar het schijnt een revolutionaire - dj cd-speler.
